Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Student Learning Coach to work on-site at campuses across the United States. You will lead life-skills workshops for K-8 students, coach individuals and small groups, and use Coachbot analytics to drive progress.

You’ll focus on resilience, focus, leadership, and ownership, delivering real progress beyond traditional instruction. The role emphasizes coaching, motivation, and development of durable skills, with a clear path to senior coaching roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience working directly with K-8 students through teaching, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp leadership, or youth programs.
• Willing to work in person at Alpha campuses across listed locations.
• Ability to describe a specific example of motivating a student to achieve a difficult goal, including approach and outcome.
• Excited to let AI deliver academics while you focus on coaching, motivation, and life skills development.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-energy, one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 students, developing communication, resilience, focus, leadership, and other durable skills.
• Coach students individually and in small groups using Coachbot analytics and Alpha's motivation systems to help achieve weekly goals.
• Assess life-skill mastery through Test2Pass and provide targeted coaching until genuine competence is demonstrated.
• Adapt coaching style across elementary and middle school students, adjusting for age differences.
• Analyze weekly student performance data to identify patterns and improve outcomes for the cohort.
