Job summary

Constellation Schools - K-8th Grade Paraprofessional in Parma, Ohio seeks a qualified instructional paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year.

Under supervision of the Principal, the paraprofessional assists teachers, works with students with special needs, and supports instructional activities to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. The role may involve lifting students and restraining when necessary.

Qualifications

• Educational licensure required (ESEA qualified).
• 1-2 years’ experience with students with special needs preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and restrain a student if needed.
• Able to adapt to changes and manage competing demands.
• Punctual, attentive to instructions and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Assist student(s) with technology and computer-based learning programs.
• Support students with academic requirements and grade-appropriate work.
• Work with small groups of students for targeted instruction.
• Follow safety plans and school rules.
• Assist students with projects and assignments and help with lesson assessments.
• Coordinate with teachers and staff and complete required paperwork.
• Participate in necessary training and training compliance.
