Job summary

YMCA of Central Florida is seeking a Program Director, School Programs, to lead K-8 before/after school programs and summer camps across 10 sites in Orange and Lake Counties. You will guide staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with school partners to drive enrollment and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; management, operations management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in managing an educational program; multi-location leadership preferred.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Salesforce and Technogym experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement K-8 Before/After School programs to promote retention and engagement.
• Direct staff to support Elementary and Middle Schools and achieve retention goals.
• Analyze data to identify growth opportunities within assigned programs.
• Ensure schedules and procedures meet ratios and maximize participant connections.
• Identify and apply best practices in systems/tech to support program management.
• Compile programming data for contractual reporting and grants.
• Establish inspections and manage purchases for supplies/equipment.
• Monitor operations to meet health and safety standards; ensure staff training.
• Lead staff performance evaluations and recruitment for the families center.
• Plan events to promote programs to students, parents, and community.
• Collaborate with principals to maximize enrollments and participation.
• Oversee budget planning, payroll, and department purchasing.
• Recruit volunteers for scholarships and manage reporting compliance.
