Job summary

ProCare Therapy in Toledo, OH is seeking a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services to K-7 students in a supportive, school-based setting, 30 hours per week, with access to mentoring for CFY candidates.

The role focuses on IEP-driven goals, collaboration with teachers and families, and AAC implementation, offering valuable experience for both CFY and experienced SLPs committed to student progress.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current or eligible for SLP-CCC or CFY status.
• Ohio state SLP license (or ability to obtain).
• Experience with school-aged children in K–7 setting.
• Comfortable working in self-contained classroom settings.
• Exposure to AAC device implementation; specific AAC device experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop IEP-driven goals for communication.
• Deliver speech-language therapy tailored to individual student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff and families to support effective interventions.
• Document progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with school and state guidelines.
• Facilitate expressive and receptive language development, including through AAC devices.
• Participate in IEP meetings and student support initiatives.
