Albert Lea Area Schools seeks a licensed Special Education teacher for grades K-5. The role develops specialized instruction, evaluates progress, and leads IEP activities while directing paraprofessionals and coordinating with related service providers.

Ideal candidate will have Minnesota K-12 Special Education licensure (or ability to obtain) and a collaborative approach to building effective educational teams within the district.

Qualifications

• Minnesota teaching license in K-12 Special Education preferred or ability to obtain.
• Experience designing specialized instruction for elementary students.
• Ability to supervise paraprofessionals and coordinate services.

Responsabilités

• Develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the academic, functional and behavioral needs of K-5 students; evaluates and assesses progress; serves as IEP manager; directs paraprofessionals; collaborates with service providers.
• Directs work of paraprofessionals and collaborates with other educators and service providers.
