Job summary

Albert Lea Area Schools seeks a LTR Special Education Teacher for Setting 3 at Halverson Elementary. Qualifications

• Minnesota Teaching license in K-5 Special Education or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the academic, functional and behavioral needs of K-5 students; evaluates and assesses student progress; functions as IEP manager; directs paraprofessionals; collaborates with other service providers.
• Support provided for special education team members: building leadership roles to ensure compliance with due process, effective service delivery, scheduling and assessment of student learning outcomes.
• Due Process Clerk to support scheduling of team meetings and ensuring attendance by all members; maintaining databases and timelines, and providing support for due process forms.
