Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification in Special Education required
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related discipline
• Successful prior teaching experience is a plus
• Knowledge of district curriculum and standards
• Ability to use assessment data to inform instruction

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers school elementary curriculum aligned with district goals
• Creates safe, inclusive learning environments supporting individualized and small group instruction
• Plans lessons and instructional materials to maximize instructional time
• Assesses student progress and adapts teaching methods for diverse learners
• Maintains accurate records of student performance and communicates progress to families
• Engages with parents and staff through meetings and ongoing communication
• Coordinates with grade-level teams to evaluate curriculum and participate in meetings
• Administers standardized tests following district procedures
