Job summary

Southern Avenue Charter School is seeking a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) to deliver comprehensive social work services for K–5 students in Memphis. The role collaborates with school staff and families to promote academic achievement, social-emotional development, and a safe learning environment.

The LSW will provide individual/group support, crisis intervention, and referrals to community resources while maintaining confidentiality and contributing to school-wide initiatives for student

Qualifications

• MSW degree from an accredited program.
• Tennessee licensure as LSW or equivalent.
• Experience with children, families, or school-aged populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group social work services to students with academic, behavioral, social, or emotional challenges.
• Conduct social-emotional assessments and determine student needs.
• Develop and implement intervention plans; provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Coordinate with families and community resources; maintain documentation and case notes.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administration to support student well-being and success.
