Job summary

Movement Schools is seeking a passionate, mission-aligned Multilingual Learner (ML) Teacher for K-5 to design and lead high-quality English language development instruction. You will partner with classroom teachers to provide integrated language supports and ensure MLs access grade-level content in English throughout the school day.

You will also support school-wide operations and family engagement, champion multilingualism as a strength, and contribute to a culture of high expectations and joy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, TESOL, Linguistics, English, or related field.
• Valid state teacher licensure with ESL/ESOL/multilingual learner credential in the state.
• Passing scores on required content assessments for ESL/ESOL credentials.
• Working knowledge of the WIDA English Language Development Standards Framework.
• Familiarity with ESSA, EEOA, and Title III requirements for multilingual learners.
• Strong commitment to equity, scholar growth, and Movement Schools’ mission.
• Ability to pass background checks as required for charter schools.
• Willingness to collaborate with teachers and families to support multilingual learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned English language development (ELD) instruction.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate language supports throughout the day.
• Support school-wide operations and family engagement efforts.
• Provide instructional leadership to accelerate language and content learning for MLs.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.
