Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a Literacy Coach-ES for grades K-5 at Head Elementary in Lilburn, GA. The role centers on coaching teachers to deliver evidence-based literacy instruction and to strengthen student reading outcomes.

The coach will dedicate most time to classrooms, use data to inform practice, and collaborate with school leaders to implement district literacy initiatives aligned with the science of reading.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 5 years of documented successful classroom teaching or literacy intervention experience required.
• Knowledge of scientifically based reading research and data analysis.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support literacy coaching in assigned schools to implement evidence-based practices.
• Spend substantial time in classrooms (70%+) delivering side-by-side coaching.
• Analyze screening, diagnostic, and progress data to inform instruction and coaching goals.
• Provide professional learning aligned to the Science of Reading and district needs.
• Collaborate with principals and leaders to monitor literacy initiatives across schools.
