Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools in Suwanee, GA invites a Language Arts and Literacy Specialist to lead and support middle and secondary ELA initiatives. This role partners with the Language Arts Office to design professional learning, coach teachers, and promote effective literacy instruction aligned to AKS.

You will analyze school data, facilitate CLTs, model best practices, and provide ongoing support to ensure high-quality Tier 1 instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Master's degree in related field preferred.
• Three years of successful teaching experience in language arts.
• Experience developing professional learning and leading CLTs.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze local data to plan school support.
• Support Collaborative Learning Teams (CLT) through planning, facilitation, and co-facilitation.
• Engage in differentiated coaching cycles using data.
• Partner with instructional leaders for high-quality Tier 1 Instruction.
• Provide high-quality professional learning aligned to local needs.
• Demonstrate content knowledge and professional growth.
• Build trust and maintain effective communication with teachers and leaders.
