Job summary

The International School of San Francisco is seeking a Lower School Learning Specialist to provide direct learning support for students in grades K-5 within a holistic, data-informed MTSS framework.

The role reports to the Director of Student Support and collaborates with the student support team, faculty, and families to foster inclusive, neurodiversity-aware learning for all students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or relevant coursework in learning support or education.
• Experience in K-5 learning support.
• Ability to foster inclusive, multilingual learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Support Director of Student Support with data on student progress and needs.
• Maintain records of student progress and services per school policies.
• Collaborate to identify students with needs; administer initial psycho-educational evaluations.
• Create data-informed learning and support plans for students with academic and social-emotional needs.
• Provide small group Tier 2 support for at least 20 hours of direct contact.
• Communicate with families and caregivers to foster partnerships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver professional development on differentiation and literacy.
