Southern Avenue Charter Elementary School in Memphis, TN is seeking a K–5 Certified Educator to deliver standards-aligned instruction and foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture. • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a charter school setting.
• Experience with data-driven instruction and intervention strategies.
• ESL, Reading Endorsement, or Special Education certification (if applicable).

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement differentiated instruction to meet diverse learners.
• Utilize data-driven practices to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments in a timely manner.

• Administer formative and summative assessments.
• Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
• Participate in RTI/MTSS processes as needed.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
• Collaborate with support staff, administrators, and colleagues to support student achievement.
• Participate in professional development and ongoing learning opportunities.
• Attend faculty meetings, PLCs, and required trainings.

Position Overview The K–5 Certified Educator is responsible for delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of elementary students. This role requires a passionate, student-centered educator who fosters a positive classroom culture, differentiates instruction, and collaborates with colleagues and families to ensure student success.

Instruction & Curriculum

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned to state standards and school curriculum.
• Develop and implement differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Utilize data-driven practices to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Integrate technology and instructional strategies to enhance student learning.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments in a timely manner.

Classroom Environment & Management

• Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies aligned with school-wide expectations.
• Promote positive student behavior and character development.

Assessment & Progress Monitoring

• Administer formative and summative assessments.
• Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
• Participate in RTI/MTSS processes as needed.

Family & Community Engagement

• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom updates.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
