Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an elementary teacher for IDEA Academy to ensure student mastery of academic and social skills. The role emphasizes rigorous, standards-based instruction, data-driven interventions, and active engagement with students and families.

The position includes a starting salary of $57,500 with stipends up to $4,000 per certification or leadership role, plus performance-based pay. Benefits include family leave, tuition reimbursement, and mental health support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution (required)
• Teaching certification and credentialing as a teacher of record for K-3 with Reading Academies per TEA or willingness to obtain TX training within required timelines
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred)
• Bilingual and ESL certifications strongly preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet academic expectations
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback
• Track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Communicate student progress with families weekly
• Maintain a behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives
