Collegiate Charter School of Lowell in Lowell, MA seeks a steady long-term substitute for the K-4 Assistant Dean role. You will join the Behavior Team to maintain calm, safe, and joyful hallways, lunch, and recess.

You will respond to behavior needs, build positive relationships with students and families, and reinforce expectations in real time. The role emphasizes CPI de-escalation, restorative practices, and collaboration with administration.

Qualifications

• Commitment to the success of every child and belief that behavior is teachable.
• Patience, composure, and good judgment in high-energy and high-stress moments.
• Strong communication with students, families, and colleagues.
• Experience working with elementary-age children in school, camp, youth program, or similar setting.
• Fluency in Spanish, Khmer, Portuguese, or another language spoken by our families is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Support administration and the Behavior Team with student behavior concerns across grades K-4.
• Use CPI de-escalation strategies to help students regain safety and control.
• Contact and partner with parents and guardians about behavior, successes, and next steps.
• Supervise hallways, transitions, recess, and lunch.
• Staff in-school suspension and support students in reflecting, repairing, and re-entering class ready to learn.
• Help implement PBIS and restorative practices.
• Serve as a positive mentor and trusted adult for students.
