Qualificações

• MA DESE license as an Adjustment Counselor/School Social Worker required or eligible
• Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with young children in educational/therapeutic settings preferred
• Knowledge of child development and behavior management
• Experience with social-emotional learning (SEL) frameworks
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Flexible and adaptable in job responsibilities
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsabilidades

• Provide individualized and small-group behavioral interventions.
• Model and teach self-regulation, coping, and problem-solving strategies using SEL curricula.
• Use restorative practices to address conflicts and repair relationships.
• Monitor students’ behavioral goals and collect progress data.
• Collaborate and co-teach with teachers to design and implement classroom management strategies and BIPs.
• Provide coaching and modeling for teachers on positive behavior supports and de-escalation.
• Partner with families to align home and school behavior expectations.
• Participate in parent meetings and re-entry conferences as needed.
• Connect families with community resources for behavioral or mental health support.
• Maintain accurate records of student interventions, progress, and outcomes.
• Analyze behavior data to identify trends and inform prevention strategies.
• Contribute to school climate initiatives and the School Improvement Plan.
