Chicago Public Schools in Illinois seeks a Teacher Assistant to assist in instruction under the supervision of a licensed teacher. Responsibilities include supervising lunchroom and playground activities, preparing classroom displays, and helping teachers with materials and grading.

Minimum qualifications require a valid ISBE TASN paraprofessional license (or 60 college hours) and strong English and math basics. Excellent communication and a commitment to student welfare are essential.

Qualificações

• Must possess a valid TASN paraprofessional license from ISBE or have completed 60 college hours.
• Knowledge of English grammar, basic math, and CPS rules and regs.
• Ability to work with school-aged children and follow instructions precisely.
• Good oral and written communication skills are desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise lunchroom and playground activities and assist with classroom tasks.
• Assist teachers with bulletin boards, displays, and instructional materials.
• Help collect and grade homework and exams under teacher supervision.
• Operate AV equipment and basic office devices as needed.
• Support student attendance tracking and communicate with parents about absences.
