Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Student Success Coach to work on-site at a campus to guide K-3 students through app-based core learning and to diagnose reading gaps. You will run short literacy sessions, track progress, and help students reach daily learning goals.

Requirements include 3+ years with children ages 4-9, 2+ years in reading coaching, and structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading. On-site with relocation support; salary is $120,000 USD/year.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working directly with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, or related settings.
• 2+ years coaching reading in grades K-3 in the last 5 years.
• Structured-literacy training (LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Fundations, UFLI, etc.) or a master's in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor's degree; teaching certificate is not required.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning: spotting who is stuck, asking the question that unblocks them, holding the daily goal.
• Running short structured-literacy sessions with two to four students, diagnosing gaps, teaching a sequence, and checking transfer.
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities.
• Driving students to weekly app goals with school currency, leaderboards, and gamification.
• Staying with your students through lunch, recess, and closing, addressing frustration with a plan.
