Job summary

Math Corps in Saint Paul, MN seeks a Math Tutor to support students in local schools with 20-30 minute sessions, up to 3 students each time, five days a week during the 2026-27 school year.

As an AmeriCorps member, you will receive a biweekly stipend and participate in coaching to grow your teaching skills. Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
