Job summary

Alpha seeks a Learning Coach to guide K-3 students through app-based literacy programs on-site. You will diagnose decoding gaps, run short literacy sessions for small groups, and lead morning routines and life-skills activities.

The role emphasizes dedicated reading instruction for 3+ years, with LETRS/IMSE or equivalent training, a bachelor’s degree, and US work authorization. On-site with relocation support and full benefits.

Qualifications

• On-site campus delivery of literacy instruction.
• Minimum 3 years working with children 4-9.
• At least 2 years teaching reading in K-3.
• Structured-literacy training or master’s in reading/l literacy.
• Bachelor’s degree required; teaching certificate not required.
• Work 90% guiding students through app-based learning and 10% reading sessions.

Responsibilities

• Coach students through app-based core learning to close gaps.
• Run short literacy sessions for 2–4 students with diagnostic sequences.
• Lead morning launch, workshops, and routine activities.
• Drive students toward weekly app goals using gamification and leaderboards.
• Stay with students through meals and closing, addressing frustration with a plan.
