Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Literacy Program Coordinator to lead structured-literacy workshops for K-2 students using methods like Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson, IMSE, or equivalent. You will tailor instruction from live performance data and avoid scripted curricula to accelerate reading skills.

You will captivate six-year-olds with an engaging presence, build rapport in the classroom, and guide small groups through motivating sessions, data-informed instruction, and developmentally appropriate

Qualifications

Certification in structured literacy required.
Experience diagnosing phonemic gaps and building phonics lessons.
Ability to captivate and engage K-2 students.

Responsibilities

Creating and facilitating small-group K-2 reading workshops rooted in structured-literacy approaches (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, IMSE, or comparable methods), informed by live student performance data
Conducting daily motivation sessions to ensure 100% of students reach their weekly adaptive-app targets, leveraging Alpha's motivational framework (school currency, leaderboards, developmentally appropriate gamification)
Delivering and interpreting running records, fluency assessments, and decoding probes to monitor student progress and refine upcoming instruction
Analyzing AI-generated data from Alpha's adaptive learning platforms to differentiate instruction dynamically during sessions, beyond static lesson planning
Serving as the energetic, approachable adult your K-2 students are eager to spend time with each day
