Job summary

Alpha seeks a Literacy Specialist to lead structured-literacy workshops for K-2 using Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson or IMSE, guided by live student data and AI diagnostics.

You will design small-group lessons, run daily motivation sessions to hit weekly app targets, monitor progress with running records and fluency measures, and refine instruction as AI platforms mature, on-site at one Alpha campus.

Qualifications

• Structured-literacy credential or Master’s in reading instruction.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of full-time K-2 structured reading instruction in past 5 years.
• Ability to design reading lessons independently, without a published program.
• Ability to document fluency and decoding progress with concrete gains.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate small-group K-2 literacy workshops rooted in structured-literacy frameworks, informed by live data.
• Facilitate daily motivation sessions to meet weekly adaptive-app targets.
• Conduct running records, fluency assessments, and decoding measures to monitor growth.
• Analyze AI-generated performance insights to individualize instruction.
• Serve as the high-energy adult your K-2 students anticipate seeing daily.
