Job summary

Universal Creighton Charter School is seeking an Math Intervention Specialist for K-2 in Philadelphia to support students’ mathematics achievement. The role focuses on Tier II/III instruction with small-group supports, data-based monitoring, and close collaboration with teachers and families to tailor interventions.

The candidate will use diagnostic assessments and progress data to place students, adjust strategies, and contribute to program development, training, and data management tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality mathematics instruction to individual students and small groups.
• Uses data to tailor instruction and raise skills to grade level.
• Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to identify best practices for small groups.
• Apply research-based interventions to meet individual needs.
• Maintain data-based documentation of student progress and monitoring.
• Provide data to school teams and participate in decisions about progress.
• Communicate progress to teachers, administration, and families.
• Assist with identifying students for placement in intervention groups.
• Attend meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss placement and progress.
• Provide diagnostic assessments for students as needed.
• Provide input for program development.
• Support implementation of assessment tools and data management systems.
• Attend trainings to improve knowledge and skills.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
