Glenview Public School District 34 seeks an Instructional Innovation Specialist to support K-2 staff for the 2026-27 school year. The role focuses on facilitating access to information, collaboration with teachers, and co-teaching to enhance instructional resources and the district’s Learning Process.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator's License (PEL).
• Minimum four years of effective teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of information literacy materials, resources, and practices in K-8.
• Experience implementing informational literacy and professional development.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with school and district personnel.
• Knowledge of adult learning characteristics and PD design.
• Ability to coordinate and facilitate PD for staff at building and district levels.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate access to information in diverse formats for teachers and students.
• Consult, collaborate and co-teach to build teacher capacity.
• Lead district-wide and building-level professional development.
• Differentiate support for educators in inquiry and design thinking.
• Collaborate with Library Resource Center Directors and Instructional Coaches.
