Job summary

ROCKFORD PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT #205 seeks an Instructional Coach for grades K–5 for the 2026/27 school year. The role supports teachers, principals, and leadership in implementing the district's Curricula and Instructional Framework to raise student engagement and achievement.

The coach guides improvements and leads professional learning opportunities. Qualifications include at least five years of teaching experience with a proficient evaluation, a bachelor's degree, and an Illinois

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of successful experience as a teacher with an average evaluative rating of Proficient.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and Illinois State Board of Education.
• Professional Educator License registered in Winnebago County.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers and school leadership to implement the Curriculum Framework and instructional strategies.
• Coach teachers and teams to analyze student data and address barriers to improve engagement and achievement.
• Develop and facilitate high-quality, job-embedded professional development for teachers and administrators.
• Collaborate with Curriculum Department to implement guaranteed and viable curricula based on best practices.
