Job summary

The Granite Falls School District is seeking an ELEMENTARY TEACHER for grades K-2 as a one-year, non-continuing leave replacement. This 1.0 FTE on-site position begins around 11/05/2026 and ends around 3/14/2027, with possible early start. Mountain Way Elementary will host the assignment.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver standards-based instruction, assess student progress, maintain classroom management, and collaborate with families and staff to support student achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid teacher certification.
• Experience in elementary grade levels preferred.
• Ability to plan and deliver standards-based lessons.
• Strong classroom management and ongoing assessment.
• Effective communication with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Establish, plan, develop and prepare learning objectives and standards for assigned subjects and grade levels.
• Teach and instruct students, promote achievement and assess progress.
• Maintain classroom management and provide guidance and discipline as needed.
• Collaborate with families, staff and administrators to support student learning.
• Prepare progress and grade reports and administer assessments as required.
