Job summary

Breckenridge Public Schools is seeking a Technology Coordinator to oversee the district's information systems, planning, operations, security, purchasing, training, maintenance, and data management.

The ideal candidate will have network systems administration experience to support the technology infrastructure and planning, plus strong customer service skills to collaborate with staff on IT matters. On-site work with district staff across campuses is required.

Qualifications

• Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, education, or related field.
• Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field plus experience.
• 2+ years of experience in closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage annual technology budget.
• Supervise evaluation and acquisition of software/hardware.
• Participate in bid specifications for hardware/software.
• Complete E-rate forms to maximize discounts.
• Cultivate vendor relationships and manage technology contracts.
• Oversee Systems Administrator role for multiple systems (SIS, Google Workspace, etc.).
• Install and maintain software to support district needs.
• Maintain hardware in classrooms and offices.
• Asset management of technology equipment, including licenses and disposal.
• Maintain server room security and backups.
• Develop and implement admin procedures and policies for technology.
• Establish and enforce software/hardware licensing procedures.
• Respond to concerns of parents, students, and staff about policies.
