Job summary

Amergis seeks a Special Education Teacher to deliver quality services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. Required is a bachelor’s degree and a valid state teaching certificate with district requirements; one year of teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred.
• LBS1 endorsement preferred.
• Must meet health, safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Special Education Program Administrator to plan and implement student programs.
• Provide quality special instruction and tutoring for K–12 students.
• Consult with general education staff to support inclusive planning and delivery of services.
• Maintain compliance with professional standards and contract/district regulations.
