Job summary

Consertus is seeking a Project Manager to represent the Owner's interests on K-12 school construction and renovation projects—from early planning and procurement, through preconstruction, and continuing through closeout.

This role owns the overall delivery of assigned projects - schedule, budget, contract administration, and stakeholder coordination - working closely with the on-site Construction Manager, architects, engineers, and district facilities staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably K-12 or public education.
• Strong understanding of contracts, scheduling, and budget management.
• Experience with public bidding and school construction requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Owner on K-12 construction and renovation projects from planning to closeout.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and cash flow.
• Administer contracts and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay apps.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and district staff.
• Communicate status, risks, and milestones to district stakeholders.
• Support procurement, bid reviews, and contractor qualification.
• Ensure compliance with bidding, prevailing wage, and district policies.
• Coordinate phasing with the school calendar to minimize disruption.
• Manage risk identification and mitigation.
• Track closeout, as-builts, warranties, and final documentation.
• Prepare project status reports for internal and district review.
