Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract position in Bridgeport, CT. The OT will support K-12 students across in-school, home health, healthcare, and teletherapy environments, delivering evaluations and direct services under IEPs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with educators, families, and support staff, with a focus on adaptable interventions and documentation to ensure student progress and independence across settings.

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience with K-12 student caseloads in school, healthcare, teletherapy, and/or home health settings
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Adaptability to work across multiple service environments
• Ability to motivate and empower students with varying needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy evaluations and direct services to K-12 students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to create inclusive and effective therapy strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings, provide progress updates, and maintain thorough compliance documentation
• Utilize a variety of techniques and modalities, adapting interventions to student needs in school, home, or virtual settings
• Foster an engaging, supportive atmosphere that promotes student independence and success
