Job summary

The Affinity Group is seeking a K-12 Sales Specialist to expand our Michigan market. You will partner with school nutrition teams and distributors to drive menu frequency and growth, using a consultative, relationship-based selling approach.

Travel weekly across Michigan with some regional air travel, and collaborate with the Sales Team to craft compelling proposals and win bids while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in foodservice sales, food brokerage, or school operations preferred.
• Proven track record in relationship selling, influencing buyers, and closing deals.
• Exceptional presentation, public speaking, and persuasion capabilities.
• Creative, growth-oriented professional with passion for food and menu innovation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct in-person sales appointments with K-12 school districts and distributors.
• Pipeline management: prospecting, lead generation, and tracking activity in our AI NXT/CRM system.
• Organize and lead taste-testing events and food presentations at district and state levels.
• Partner with the Bid Team and Senior Director to analyze school bids and build competitive proposals.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to school nutrition leaders and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
