Qualifications

• Two years experience as a School Nutrition Assistant/Cook or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain attendance and schedule as required.
• Complete the state-required Manager-In-Training courses (150 hours).
• Participate in ongoing training, including local in-service sessions.
• Operate the School Nutrition Program per policy and regulations.
• Provide on-the-job training and supervision for nutrition assistants.
• Establish work and production schedules for assistants.
• Instruct and evaluate staff on nutrition policies.
• Consult with Principal and Nutrition Director on program matters.
• Order food and supplies per local policy.
• Maintain records and financial accounts accurately and timely.
• Uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
• Develop plans to use the program as a learning lab for nutrition education.
• Assist in food preparation, service, and cleanup.
