Pellston Public Schools invites a dedicated Food Service Director to oversee nutrition programs for Pellston and Alanson Public Schools. This leader ensures compliant menus, safe production, strong procurement, and sound budgeting while aligning with USDA and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, food service management, dietetics, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in any major plus a state-recognized certificate in related fields.
• Associate's degree in related fields with at least one year of school nutrition experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with at least three years of school nutrition experience.

Responsabilités

• Menu planning and nutrition design following USDA guidelines.
• Oversee food production and ensure compliance with USDA/MDA and health standards.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation per ServSafe requirements.
• Procurement and inventory management with vendor relations and quotes.
• Budgeting, staffing, grants, and state claiming processes collaboration with Finance Director.
• Hire, train, schedule, evaluate, and support staff; conduct regular meetings.
• Maintain daily/weekly/monthly records for reporting to district, state, and federal entities.
• Coordinate catering for district events as resources permit.
