Job summary

The Nutrition Group is seeking a Director of Food and Nutrition to oversee daily cafeteria operations within a K-12 school district. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in food service management, compliance, and team leadership.

Lead and supervise cafeteria staff while ensuring menu development, budgeting, and reporting align with USDA and state guidelines. This position offers consistent day hours and opportunities for professional growth within a respected food

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 1–2 years of proven staff management experience.
• Food service industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain necessary clearances and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage school menus in compliance with USDA and state guidelines.
• Oversee food cost control, budgeting, and inventory management.
• Lead and supervise cafeteria staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Ensure accuracy in accounting and reporting processes.
