The Nutrition Group in the United States is seeking a Director of Food and Nutrition to oversee daily cafeteria operations within a K-12 school district. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in food service management, compliance, and team leadership.

You will develop menus, manage budgets, lead cafeteria staff, and ensure accurate reporting while maintaining clear communication with district officials.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 1-2 years of staff management experience preferred.
• Food service industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain necessary clearances and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage school menus in compliance with USDA and state guidelines.
• Oversee food cost control, budgeting, and inventory management.
• Lead and supervise cafeteria staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Ensure accuracy in accounting and reporting processes.
• Maintain strong communication with school district administrators and officials.
