Job summary

Lakes Country Service Cooperative is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for Lakes Country Academy in Moorhead, MN. This role supports K–12 students, assists with IEPs, and collaborates with teachers to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Typical hours are 8:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (6.75 hours/day) across 180 school days per year, with on-the-job training and ongoing support. The position emphasizes patience, compassion, and dedication to student success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 60+ college credits or completed associate degree
• Passing score on ParaEducator or ParaPro exam (can be completed after hire within 30 days)

Responsibilities

• Support K–12 students in learning, social, and emotional development
• Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assist with classroom instruction and behavioral support
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create an inclusive environment
• Receive on-the-job training and ongoing support

Education
