Job summary

Lakes Country Service Cooperative's Lakes Country Academy in Fergus Falls, MN, seeks Paraprofessionals to support K-12 students in a calm, structured, individualized setting.

You'll help implement IEPs, assist with instruction and behavioral support, and collaborate closely with teachers, families, and staff to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment. On-the-job training is provided, with hours aligned to the school calendar.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 60+ college credits or an Associate degree or passing score on the ParaPro exam.
• Preferred: experience working with students with challenging behaviors.
• Preferred: positive attitude, patience, and a passion for helping students succeed.

Job description

Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) is seeking Paraprofessionals to join Lakes Country Academy (LCA) in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, supporting K-12 students in a calm, structured, highly individualized setting.

Students are referred by local school districts and benefit from a supportive environment designed to meet both academic and behavioral needs.

Your Role Will Include:

• Support K-12 students in learning, social, and emotional development.
• Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Assist with classroom instruction and behavioral support.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a positive, inclusive environment.
• Receive on-the-job training and ongoing support.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, AND one of the following:.
• 60+ college credits, OR completed Associate degree, OR passing score on the Paraeducator/ParaPro exam (may be completed within 30 days after hire).
• Preferred: experience working with students with challenging behaviors.
• Preferred: positive attitude, patience, and a passion for helping students succeed.

Salary and Benefits:

• Pay Range: $20.60-$26.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Location & Shift Times:

• Fergus Falls Lakes Country Academy.
• For the 2026-2027 school year; school start date: September 1, 2026.
• Hours: 8:15am-3:15pm (6.75 hours/day).
• 180 days/year, aligned with the school calendar.
