Job summary

GOAL High School is seeking a Network Specialist to design, implement, and maintain the school’s network infrastructure across Colorado sites. You will translate site requirements into concrete network designs, own upgrade planning, and serve as the main contact for ISPs.

You will collaborate with the Cybersecurity Specialist and IT Compliance Generalist to ensure secure, reliable services. The role is an individual contributor position based in Colorado.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, networking, computer science, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of networking experience with enterprise design and deployments.
• CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing networks and site requirements to determine hardware, configuration, and connectivity specs.
• Design network layouts, IP addressing schemes, VLANs, routing, and security controls.
• Plan upgrade and deployment timelines, site priorities, and procurement needs.
• Coordinate circuit provisioning and maintenance with ISPs and vendors.
• Maintain documentation, backups, and change-management compliance.
