Job summary

Alamance-Burlington School System seeks an ML/ESL Specialist (K-12) to support multilingual learners across ABSS. This exempt, full-time position works Monday through Friday, 40 hours weekly, with a starting date of November 16, 2026, and reports to the Director of Multilingual Learners.

Responsibilities include coordinating and coaching ML instruction, developing ELD curriculum aligned with WIDA, providing staff development, and supporting schools in ML implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field for K-12
• Prior classroom experience required
• Demonstrated knowledge of K-12 WIDA standards
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience

Responsibilities

• Contribute to ML program development and coaching
• Coordinate staff development for ML teachers
• Support implementation of LIEP and ML goals in ABSS
• Lead curriculum alignment with state and WIDA standards
• Provide resources and guidance across multiple sites
