Job summary

ENGICON CM is seeking a senior design leader to plan, organize, and direct complex school upgrade and repair projects in the Los Angeles area. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, and district staff to ensure designs meet functional, budgetary, environmental, and legal requirements.

You will oversee design reviews, select architectural partners, and guide teams to deliver projects that align with district standards while maximizing value and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years full-time paid professional experience in facilities design or capital project coordination.
• 5 years of this experience must be with the design, planning and construction of K-12 educational facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the design activities for the School Upgrade Program and critical repair projects; lead the design department providing quality review and policy implementation.
• Coordinate with the Division of State Architects (DSA) and interface with a wide range of District personnel.
• Oversee the building design process to ensure LAUSD standards and educational building requirements are met.
• Identify and select architectural firms based on qualifications and performance; provide clear design direction.
