Magma Math is seeking a writer with in-depth K-12 education experience to produce multiple pieces weekly for educators and district leaders. You’ll craft blog posts, one-pagers, and campaign copy while collaborating with editors in a fast-paced edtech environment in NYC.

You have a proven writing portfolio, comfort with diverse formats, and a passion for improving math education outcomes. Start ASAP; salary range listed reflects a full-time role in New York City.

Qualifications

• Real K–12 experience in teaching, coaching, or curriculum writing.
• We want writing you can show us: blog posts, newsletters, PD materials, Substack.
• Ability to produce two to three finished pieces per week with an editor.
• Fluency with edtech concepts like classroom trends and adoption data.

Responsibilities

• Write blog posts and articles for math education audiences.
• Create one-pagers and campaign copy support as needed.
• Contribute to conference materials, PD handouts, and sales talking points.
• Support longer research reports pulling district results into one evidence piece.
