Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist within the Content Development team to develop K-12 assessments for state and district clients. You will serve as a content and assessment expert, collaborating with education departments and educators to create standards-based content accessible to all students.

This is a 12-month limited term position. Responsibilities include item development, AI-assisted content creation, coordinating with item writers, and supporting customer meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent required.
• Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher preferred.
• Professional knowledge of content area and educational trends required.
• Experience with large-scale educational measurement preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-supported content development and evaluating AI-generated content for education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
• Help develop item/passage/test specifications and blueprints.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support development, review, and enhancement of assessment content.
