Job summary

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a full-time or part-time on-site American Sign Language Interpreter for a Kansas City, KS school. You will provide classroom ASL interpretation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support students with special needs.

The role requires fluent ASL and English, certification (EIPA 3.5+ and RID), and a degree in interpreting or ASL-English interpreting. Qualified candidates will have K-12 experience and knowledge of IDEA/IEP processes.

Qualifications

• ASL and English fluency required; interpret classroom instruction accurately.
• RID certification required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree; preferred Interpreter Training Program (ITP) or ASL-English interpreting degree.
• Experience interpreting in K-12 classrooms; knowledge of IDEA/IEP processes; background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide ASL services to students in the classroom setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support student learning.
• Complete documentation, administrative and planning time as needed.
