Job summary

Erie 1 BOCES Alternative Education is seeking educators to provide 1-to-1 tutoring for grades K-12 either virtually or in person. Per diem on an on-call basis. You will schedule hours that fit daytime or early evening slots (Mon-Fri).

Instruction may be delivered in-person at a community location or online, with materials supplied by the home district. Must hold NYS Teacher Certification in a Core Subject area (English, French, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Special Education).

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS Teacher Certification in a Core Subject area.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring to students in grades K-12 who are not currently able to attend school.
• Create your teaching schedule (required hours can be provided in the day or early evening Monday-Friday, depending on availability).
• All instruction is provided either in-person (typically at a community location) or virtually.
• Materials and lessons are provided by the student's home school district.
