Job summary

Erie 1 BOCES Alternative Education offers on-call tutoring for students in grades K-12, either virtually or in person. Tutors set a flexible schedule, with hours that may be provided during the day or early evening Monday–Friday depending on availability.

The role requires NYS Teacher Certification in a Core Subject area. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. Per diem work is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS Teacher Certification in any Core Subject area.
• Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring to students in grades K-12.
• Create your teaching schedule (hours may be provided day or early evening, Monday–Friday).
• Provide instruction either in-person at a community location or virtually.
• Materials and lessons provided by the student’s home school district.
