The Village for Families & Children in Manchester, CT is hiring a Juvenile Transportation/Case Aide to safely transport families to visits and services. You will build rapport with children, monitor behavior and maintain documentation, while following safety procedures and trauma-informed approaches.

Starting Rate is $18.00/hour with a 40-hour work week, Tuesday–Saturday schedule, and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven organization dedicated to family support and community

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate agency vehicles.
• Minimum of three years of driving experience.
• No more than one moving violation or accident within the past three years.
• No DWI or DUI convictions.
• One to two years of experience transporting children, youth, or families.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to safely install and carry car seats and enter/exit agency vehicles as needed.

Responsabilités

• Safely transport children, youth, and families to and from scheduled visits, services, and programs.
• Build positive rapport with children during transportation.
• Supervise client behavior while ensuring a safe environment.
• Report incidents or concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Maintain mileage logs and transportation documentation.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Follow traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Keep agency vehicles clean and well-maintained.
• Participate in trainings and team meetings.
• Use trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches in all interactions.
