Job summary

The Village in the Greater Hartford, Connecticut region is seeking a Juvenile Transportation/Case Aide. This part-time role involves transporting clients to and from program activities, coordinating pickups, and supporting youth through structured transport sessions.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, attending trainings, and collaborating with staff to ensure on-time arrivals while upholding safety and trauma-informed practices for diverse youth populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
• Minimum of 3 years driving experience.
• No more than one moving violation or accident in the past 3 years.
• 1-2 years’ experience in transporting children or youth.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation to clients from program as per schedule.
• Engages clients while transporting.
• Attends trainings and meetings as needed.
• Maintains mileage log and documentation.
• Reports vehicle problems to Property Management.
• Assists in weekly vehicle inspection and forms.
• Resolves difficulties with clients during transport.
• Observes traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Supervises client behavior in the vehicle and reports incidents.
• Promotes a safe, welcoming environment and risk reduction.
