Job summary

King County Superior Court seeks a Juvenile Probation Counselor Supervisor for its 24/7 Screening Unit. The role supervises professional and support staff providing probation services to youths and families, with a focus on caseload management, data reporting, and program development.

The position is full-time, in-person at the Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center in Seattle, normally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Supervise professional counselors and support staff.
• Working knowledge of CMAP and PACT; familiarity with motivational interviewing preferred.
• Experience with counseling, case planning, and social services for juvenile offenders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and guide staff in providing probation services to juveniles and families.
• Manage daily operations, caseload management, electronic files, and computer systems.
• Lead organizational change and develop new processes in support of innovative efforts.
• Coordinate and monitor treatment contracts and maintain liaison with courts, law enforcement, schools, and community agencies.
• Provide orientation, training, and evaluation of lower-level staff.
• Gather and analyze data and prepare complex reports and correspondence.
