The State of Delaware is hiring a Juvenile Probation and Parole Officer Supervisor to oversee staff and supervise high-risk youth under probation or aftercare conditions. The role includes coordination with law enforcement, court appearances, and comprehensive case management.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and multiple years of probation/parole or related law enforcement experience, plus a valid driver's license. Telework options are available under the state's arrangements.
This level supervises Juvenile Probation and Parol Officers, responsible for providing community supervision and support to youth, with a high risk to recidivate, in compliance with the terms of court-imposed conditions of probation, aftercare, or pre-adjudication supervision. In addition to work performed at the Juvenile Probation and Parole Officer level, employees perform and supervise juvenile probation and parole work, resolve escalated issues, and ensure the proper training and development of staff. Employees are armed and possess arrest and search/seizure authority, requiring completion of specialized probation and parole officer training.

Must successfully complete the Department of Correction BOTC training academy.

All new hires are required to report to the Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO) on their first day of employment. Sessions are held at designated locations in Kent or New Castle County.
