Job summary

State of Delaware Family Court is seeking a first line supervisor for a unit of Judicial Case Processors. The role involves supervising staff, managing case processing, and ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to court procedures.

Strong emphasis on accuracy, timelines, and compliance with state laws. Responsibilities include reviewing documents, preparing court papers, entering data into information systems, maintaining records, and assisting during hearings with case information.

Qualifications

  • Three years’ experience in reviewing and evaluating records for completeness and conformity with laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Three years’ experience in using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.
  • Three years’ experience in applying laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
  • One year of experience creating reports combining data from multiple sources in an organized format.
  • Coursework, training and/or work experience in staff supervision.

  • Attends hearings and proceedings to provide files, records and case information to judicial officer; records event disposition and administers oaths.

Summary Statement

This is the first line supervisor of a unit of Judicial Case Processors or the supervisor of a Justice of the Peace Court. Work may also include performing actual caseload management functions.

JUDICIAL CASE PROCESSING

Job Requirements
Job Requirements for Judicial Case Processing Supervisor
  • Three years’ experience in document processing such as reviewing and evaluating records for completeness and conformity with laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures, resolving deficiencies, and tracking and monitoring activities.
  • Three years’ experience in using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.
  • Three years’ experience in applying laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
  • One year of experience in creating reports which includes combining and presenting data from multiple sources in an organized format.
  • Coursework, training and/or work experience in staff supervision which may include performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others.
